Roseblood d'Estoublon

Roseblood Blanc 2023

Coteaux D'Aix-En-Provence

Download

A true counterpart to the rosé cuvée. Made from AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, in the Western part of the Provence region, almost exclusively from the estate’s vineyards. The vineyard on Provence’s volcanic slopes, situated at 800-1,000 feet, benefits from a Mediterranean climate with the Mistral wind, ensuring abundant sunshine and limited rainfall. Planted in unique soils, the blend of Rolle, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon yields fresh, expressive wines with citrus notes from Rolle, tension from Sauvignon Blanc, and complexity from Sémillon. The palate offers generosity, balanced by the freshness of the high-altitude terroirs.

Vineyard

The vines for this white cuvée thrive on the slopes of Provence’s sole volcano, at elevations ranging from 800 to 1,000 feet. The vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate influenced by the Mistral — a cold, dry north wind that shields the vines. These vines are planted in clayey-limestone-marl soils characteristic of their unique location. These soils, along with the altitude, impart freshness, expression, and finesse to the wines.

Winemaking

The grapes are pressed immediately, followed by cold alcoholic fermentation. Vinification and maturation occur in stainless steel tanks for 3-4 weeks to maintain the freshness and natural aromas of the terroir and grape varieties.

Vintage

2023 was a solar and graceful vintage, exhibiting a delightful aromatic expression with interplay of acidity and freshness.
